How Find My Farrier handles notes, listings, and the Hoof & Barn list.

What we collect

The lead form stores your name, email, optional phone, and message, plus the county or listing you were looking at. The add-listing form, the claim form, and the job form store the fields on those pages. The Hoof & Barn form stores your email.

Where it lives

By default the app writes those rows to a SQLite file on the server. If DATABASE_URL is a MySQL connection string, it uses MySQL instead. We do not sell this information.

Newsletter mail

Resend is optional. When RESEND_API_KEY and a from-address are set, a confirmation email is sent through Resend. When they are not set, the address is still saved and no mail is sent.

Payments

Printables, featured county slots, and job posts can use Stripe Payment Links. Stripe processes the card. Find My Farrier does not receive or store card numbers.

OpenStreetMap

Some public listings may be copied from OpenStreetMap features that carry farrier tags or blacksmith tags related to horses. That data is © OpenStreetMap contributors and available under the Open Database License. We do not add a business the query did not return.

Certifications

Anything labeled as a certification is self-reported by the business. We do not pull membership rolls from the American Farrier's Association or other bodies.

Removal

Write hello@findmyfarrier.example to ask for a lead, a subscriber address, a claim, or a listing submission to be deleted. If a public listing came from OpenStreetMap, we can take it off this site; the original map feature is controlled by OpenStreetMap.
